The late Mr. Ralph Preston collected high end diecast models from Danbury Mint, Franklin Mint, Corgi, First Gear and more. He also collected a huge number of HO scale model railroad locomotives and cars from nearly every major manufacturer and custom builders. But it didn't stop there. We also have O gauge, G Scale, N Scale, railroad books, and art in this collection. We have not officially graded these items but we have included multiple quality photo's for each item so you can assess the cosmetic condition. Most of the inbox items will be C-7 to C-9 and a few C-10. Most of the items without boxes are going to be C-5 to C-6. Most of these items have been in storage since Mr. Preston bought them new in the 1980's and 1990's. We did not test operation and cannot guarantee functionality.  We also did our best to match up boxes with items they belong to, but we cannot guarantee that the label on the box matches the contents.  Please bid accordingly. There will be a preview opportunity the day the auction closes. Preview, Shipping, and Pickup Information: This is an online only auction which will begin to close on July 12 at 6:00 PM and will close at the rate of 5 lots per minute with a 1 minute auto extend. That means if a bid is placed within the last minute for any lot the time for that lot will be extended for one more minute. Preview for this auction will be at 7912 Wellington Dr, Warrenton VA 20186 on July 12 from 11 AM to 5 PM.  Pickup is at the same location on Thursday and Friday July 13-14  from 9 AM to 6 PM. Shipping is available for all items in this auction. We use shippingsaint.com to handle our shipping. You will receive a separate invoice for shipping from Shipping Saint. Packaging and handling charges will be $5 for the first lot and $2 per lot thereafter, and shipping will be billed at actual shipping rates from your preferred provider. If you purchase multiple lots, they will be combined for lowest cost shipping. All items will be shipped within 10 business days of the close of the auction. Please keep in mind that shipping for large and heavy items may get expensive. Terms of the Sale: Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 10% will be added to each successful bid. Virginia Sales Tax of 5.3% will be charged on all items unless the buyer provides a valid sales tax exemption form. Sales tax exemption must be claimed and form presented before payment is made. Merchandise: All Items Are Sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. We will not be accepting returns or providing refunds. Payment: Cash, Credit Card (3% Fee Applies), Wire Transfer, and Good Check are approved methods of payment. This online only auction will require bidders to enter a valid credit card in order to register to bid. When registering to bid, the credit card will be checked for available credit of $100 but the card will not be charged. At the end of the auction all successful bidders will receive an invoice via email and payment can be made online. If payment arrangements are not made by the end of the pickup period then the credit card used for authorization purposes at the time of registration will be charged.
